My art is about connecting to nature. I’m fascinated by all life in water, despite our inability to live in the water all life derives from it. The lillyponds are just that microcosmos my fascination is about.

I started painting my lillyponds, as an escape from today’s world, which is full of distractions. During every second we have in a day, we keep our minds occupied, making ourselves slaves to machines and the flood of information. I hope to provide each viewer with an opportunity to break this mould, connect to nature, to our roots, and reconnect with their inner self.
